Using Memory Map

Postby KRUIZA » Mon Nov 09, 2009 2:19 am

Hi

I have Memory Map installed on my Hema Navigator. I have just loaded the Memory Map NSW Topo maps software. I have previously used Oziexplorer but Memory Map looked like it would be easier and I liked the detail of the maps. My problem is, when I start Memory Map, it does not leave a trail and the map does not move on the screen like in Oziexplorer. Does Memory Map not have Moving Map? Or have I just missed something obvious?

Is there some help guide I can look at that explains how to navigate with Memory Map in simple terms for beginners?

Thanks

You need to "lock to gps" to initiate the moving map, and then it will leave a track behind. Best place to get more info on how MMap works in the Hema Navigator is to look at the turorials prepared by a competing device, see http://www.vms4x4.com/product-portable_ ... ials#video

Thanks for reply. I have sorted these 2 questions however, can you tell me how you save the track (breadcrumb trail) so you can load it to your computer? I can't see anything in the Memory Map menu that says "save track" or "save track to file" etc.
Cheers

Simply exiting Pocket Navigator ("Menu > Exit") will save all overlays, allowing you to import them onto your PC version of Memory-Map ("Mobile Device > Import data from device...").
